CANTON – A Massena resident was charged Nov. 23 following an investigation of prison contraband that was brought into St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on Nov. 15, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff’s deputies.
Kinsley M. Robert, 23, allegedly gave an inmate, Floyd H. Smith, 26, two suboxone tablets during a visit, officers said.
Robert was reportedly charged with first-degree introducing prison contraband, fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, both felonies.
Robert was arraigned in Canton Town Court and released under the supervision of the probation department, deputies said.
Charges against Smith are pending, officers said.
