NORFOLK – A Massena man was arrested Sunday following a reported domestic dispute that was first reported at 3:11 a.m. the same morning, according to state police.
Michael J. Riley, 26, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt: physical contact and second-degree harassment for physical contact at 12:15 p.m., troopers said.
The charges stem from a domestic dispute between Riley and a female with whom he has a domestic relationship at a residence on State Route 420 in the Town of Norfolk, according to troopers. Riley reportedly chest-bumped the victim in violation of an order of protection. Riley then fled the area on a four-wheeler before troopers arrived.
Riley was arraigned in the Massena Town Court and remanded to St. Lawrence County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 secured bond. A return court date is scheduled for March 5, 2014 at 7p.m. in Norfolk Town Court.
