MASSENA -- Village police charged a Massena man with several counts following an instance of domestic violence.

Keith H. Bjork, 50, of Center Street is charged with second-degree unlawful imprisonment, fourth-degree criminal mischief and harassment.

Documents filed with Massena Village Court say on Tuesday around 11:20 p.m., Bjork pulled his girlfriend from her bed by her hair, prevented her from calling police and blocked her from leaving the room.

He was arraigned in court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $1,000 bail or $2,000 bond.
