POTSDAM – A Malone man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly punching a man in the face causing a broken jaw, lost tooth, and memory loss on Oct. 4 on Elm Street, according to Potsdam police.
Jacob A. Bourg, 22, was charged with second-degree assault with intent to cause physical injury, police said.
Bourg was involved in a verbal altercation with the victim around 2:35 a.m. Oct. 4 when Bourg allegedly punched the victim the face knocking him to the ground, police said.
The victim was transported to Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he was hospitalized, officers said.
Bourg was arraigned in Potsdam Village Court by Judge Garner and released under the supervision of probation to reappear in court at a later date, police said.
