GOUVERNEUR – State police say they jailed a man on drug possession and contraband charges after he allegedly attempted to bring drugs into prison on Saturday morning while visiting an inmate.
Troopers charged Jenkins D. Tyrone, 25, Buffalo, at 10:23 a.m. with two-counts of second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three-counts of second-degree introducing contraband to prison and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Troopers said he was found in possession of pot and two pills
He was sent to St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility $2,000 bail, officers said.
