Two St. Lawrence County men were charged with driving while intoxicated following alleged accidents in Potsdam and Massena.

Canton-based troopers say they charged Gabriel T. Houle, 42, with first-offense aggravated DWI: child in vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The alleged incident reportedly took place on the Morley-Potsdam Road around 5:30 p.m.

Police did not say if anyone was injured.

In a separate incident in Massena, a Hogansburg man arrested for driving while intoxicated following after leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident on Thursday evening, according to state police.

Troopers say they charged Joseph A. Back, with first-offense DWI, first-offense leaving the scene of an injury accident, reckless driving and failure to keep right.

He was charged at 9:21 p.m. on State Highway 37, officers said.

Back was released on appearance tickets returnable to court at a later date.
