Two St. Lawrence County men were charged with driving while intoxicated following alleged accidents in Potsdam and Massena.
A Norfolk man was arrested Thursday evening in Potsdam on a felony driving while intoxicated charge after state police say they responded to a reported personal-injury accident in which he had a child in the vehicle.
Canton-based troopers say they charged Gabriel T. Houle, 42, with first-offense aggravated DWI: child in vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana.
The alleged incident reportedly took place on the Morley-Potsdam Road around 5:30 p.m.
Police did not say if anyone was injured.
In a separate incident in Massena, a Hogansburg man arrested for driving while intoxicated following after leaving the scene of a personal-injury accident on Thursday evening, according to state police.
Troopers say they charged Joseph A. Back, with first-offense DWI, first-offense leaving the scene of an injury accident, reckless driving and failure to keep right.
He was charged at 9:21 p.m. on State Highway 37, officers said.
Back was released on appearance tickets returnable to court at a later date.
