HAMMOND -- St. Lawrence County Sheriff deputies say they charged a mother and daughter from Hammond with neglecting five horses on a recent below zero night.
Sheila A. Hollis, 53, and Aleaha R. Hollis, 22, are each charged with five counts of animal cruelty.
They allegedly did not provide shelter to five horses on a recent night where temperatures reached -18 degrees, police said.
State troopers assited with the investigation, deputies said.
The Hollises were released with appearance tickets for Morristown Town Court, deputies said.
