A “Rural Hospitals Roundtable” was held in Albany recently to discuss the status of the state’s rural hospitals, following a shut down of Gouverner’s E.J. Noble hospital last year.
The roundtable explored ways to strengthen rural hospitals and preserve access to quality healthcare in under-served communities.
Sen. Patty Ritchie joined legislators, health professionals and rural health experts from across the state to discuss the challenges faced by rural hospitals like E.J. Noble.
The group also included members of the bipartisan Rural Resources Commission and members of the Senate Health Committee.
