Female, 16, Gouverneur

Arrested @ the Gouverneur PD and charged with petit larceny following an investigation of a June 21, 2018 shoplifting incident at Kinney Drugs. Subject is alleged to have shoplifted $71.87 worth of assorted cosmetics and failed to render payment. Subject was released on appearance ticket returnable to the Gouverneur Town Court.

Charged @ 12:14 am with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd on W. Main St. She was issued traffic summons returnable to the Gouverneur Town Court.

Keith J. McCauley Jr, 32, Canton, NY

Arrested @ 2:11 am and charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a .08% or more BAC, driving left of pavement markings and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree on E. Main Street. Defendant was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Gouverneur Town Court and released to a third party.

Isaiah S. Young, 20, Gouverneur, NY

Charged @ 10:23 am with unnecessary smoke on W. Main St. Subject was issued a traffic summons returnable to the Gouverneur Town Court.

Robert P. Purser, 29, Ogdensburg, NY

Arrested @ 7:41 pm at the Gouverneur & St. Lawrence Co. Fairgrounds and charged with criminal contempt 1st for intentionally disobeying a duly served stay away order of protection by having contact with that protected party while on the fairgrounds. Defendant was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court before Justice Stan Young and released on his own recognizance.

Christopher L. Hale, 39, Newton Falls, NY

Arrested @ 10:37 pm on E. Main St. and charged with criminal contempt 1st following an investigation of an assault. Defendant is alleged to have violated an existing order of protection by having physical contact with the protected party when he slammed her to the ground causing injury and the need for immediate medical attention. Defendant was arraigned at the Gouverneur Town Court before Justice Dann and ordered held at the SLCCF in lieu of $2,500.00 bail. Investigation is continuing.
