The North Country doesn’t matter to Albany. The school aid numbers are out and will mean even more cuts to our schools. How can our children succeed without a properly funded education? I noticed that two of the schools that sent superintendents to Albany to explain why the budget should be funded equitably were punished with more cuts. Brasher Falls Central School District will lose $333,000 – this is a slap in the face to a good district that tries to stretch their dollars the furthest. Our legislators need to help get equitable school funding for the whole area.
