MASSENA -- A Massena woman is jailed following a domestic violence incident that resulted in five charges, including one felony.
Jessica J. Davison, 28, of Somerset Avenue is charged with aggravated criminal contempt, felony, single misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault and third-degree menacing and two misdemeanor counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, village police said.
On Saturday around 1:45 a.m., Davison allegedly struck Katie Davison, 24, in the back of the head while clenching a knife in her fist, causing her to seek treatment at Massena Memorial Hospital where she received two stiches, according to documents filed with Massena Village Court.
She also allegedly took Katie Davison’s cell phone and smashed it while she tried to make an emergency call, the documents say.
The encounter allegedly violated a St. Lawrence County Family Court stay-away order of protection issued in March by Judge Cecily Morris, according to the documents.
The alleged incident happened at Jessica Davison’s 8 Somerset Ave. residence.
She was arraigned by Massena Justice Gerald Sharlow and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton, in lieu of $2,500 bail or $5,000 bond.
