A Massena woman is being held awaiting arraignment on six charges stemming from a domestic dispute where she allegedly started a small fire.
Keitha A. Durant, 24, of 171 Water Street Apt. 1 is facing one count each of fifth-degree arson and second-degree reckless endangerment, both felonies. She is also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana.
According to Patrolman Ian Vanier, Durant got into a fight with her boyfriend and a tug-of-war started using a bed comforter, which police say she set on fire, but the boyfriend extinguished it before it got out of hand.
She is also alleged to have punched him in the face and the whole incident allegedly unfolded in front of their children.
