LISBON -- A Russell man accused of stealing license plates faces multiple charges.
Tim Kruger, 47, of 612 Brier Hill Road, was charged with petit larceny, conspiracy to commit a crime and criminal possession of stolen property, St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies said.
Deputies say Kruger was operating a vehicle with the stolen license plates attached.
Kruger allegedly stole the plates from a customer whose vehicle was parked at Ker's Motors in DeKalb on Oct. 27.
Kruger was released on appearance tickets, but deputies say charges are pending for a another suspect who allegedly assisted in the theft.
