POSTDAM -- A Canton woman was charged with following to closely after she allegedly drove her vehicle into the back of another vehicle on NYS Hwy. 11 as a line of traffic was stopped Friday for a school bus.

Sophie C. Goobic, 19, 606 Old State Rd., Canton, was charged with following too closely after she rear-ended another vehicle driven by Edward Planty, 57, of Canton, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.

Minor property damage was reported following the 4:21 p.m. crash near Glazier's Packing plant, deputies said.

No injuries were reported.
