Canton residents charged with drug possession following traffic stop in Potsdam

POTSDAM — Two Canton men were charged with drug possession following a traffic sop on Thursday afternoon on SH 345, according to state police.

Steven D. Murray, 59, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving without a license, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, failure to notify the DMV of an address chance and failure to keep right, officers said.

Derek C. Sessions, 27, was charged with three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, troopers said.

Both subjects were cited and released.
