Canton man picked up on parole warrant follwing traffic stop in Potsdam

POTSDAM -- A Canton man was cited for inadequate tail lamps on Market Street at 9:31 p.m. Friday, according to Potsdam police.

Officers said they cited Raymond E. Provost, 48, for the above charge and during their investigation discovered that he had an active parole warrant.

He was transported to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility for the warrant. No further details were provided.

Provost is to answer the traffic charge March 14 in Potsdam court.
