POTSDAM – A Canton was jailed on felony driving while intoxicated charges following a property-damage accident on Depot Street early Tuesday morning, according to Potsdam police.
Joshua F. Miller, 28, was charged at 1 a.m. with aggravated DWI, drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle, speed not reasonable or prudent and improper left turn, officers said.
Miller’s blood-alcohol-content was allegedly .24 percent.
Miller reportedly has a previous DWI conviction.
He was arraigned in Potsdam Town Court by Judge Pignone and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility on $1,500 bail, police said.
Police said they also charged a passenger, Dana A. Larue, 29, Canton, with drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle.
Larue is to answer the charge in court on March 14 at 8:30 a.m., officers said.
