Francis and Norma Cyrus

Francis and Norma (Moses) Cyrus will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary October 10, 2009.

The family will host an open house Sunday, Oct. 11, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Parishville AmVets Post #265, across from the fire station.

They were married October 10, 1959, at Stockholm United Methodist Church with Rev. Dorothy Bullard officiating. Members of the wedding party included Beverly Cutler and Donald Walters.

They have four children: Pamela Bergman, Pflugerville, TX; Lori Dillon, Potsdam; Chris Cyrus, Winthrop; and Brian Cyrus, Hatton, N. Dakota. They also have seven grandchildren.

Francis is retired from the U.S. Army and is currently Adjutant at Parishville Amvets Post #265.

Norma has 19 ½ years with West Stockholm Post Office.
