POTSDAM – Bob Porter of Misty Hollow, 22 Market St., is once again collecting stuffed toys from people that don’t want them anymore, so he can donate them to organizations and agencies that can get them into the hands of people who can use them.
It began last fall, when Porter began asking people if they had stuffed toys they didn’t want any longer. Word got around, and by Christmas Porter says he had collected 2,000 toys that went to nursing homes, Neighborhood Centers, day care centers, Renewal House, Rose Hill, police and emergency medical personnel, and hospital emergency rooms.
Now Porter is asking people again to look around the house to see if they can find any unwanted stuffed toys that can be given to people during the holiday season.
Donations may be dropped off at the store.
For more information, call Porter at 265-1660.
