Friday, November 06, 2009, 11:51am
BRASHER FALLS – The Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce is getting ready for the annual Winter Carnival with a contest to design this year’s carnival button on the theme Medieval Times.

Anyone who lives in one of the three towns – Stockholm, Brasher, and Lawrence – can enter.

The theme “Medieval Times” must be depicted; only hand drawn or painted original work that can be shrunk to a 2 ½ inch round button will be accepted; only three colors may be used; the type of media is the entrant’s choice but beware of media that may smudge such as chalk pastels; entries must be in by Dec. 15; name, address, phone number and a short statement about the design must be included with the drawing. There is no age limit, and no limit on the number of entries a person may submit.

The winning design will be used on the buttons the chamber will sell. The buttons are used as entry tickets to some events and are a great collectable. The second place entry will be used on advertising posters all around the North Country.

Entries should be mailed to Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 297, Brasher Falls, NY 13613, or handed to any Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors member.
