Gouverneur man arrested for DWI, pot in Macomb

MACOMB – A Gouverneur man has been arrested for drunk driving and pot possession following a traffic stop Monday night, according to state police.

Police charged Jamie R. Henderson, 40, 2144 California Rd., Gouverneur, with felony driving while intoxicated after being stopped about 10:30 p.m. on NYS Hwy. 58. Police said they saw him crossing the center line “numerous times.” He was also charged with failure to keep right.

He was then found to possess a marijuana pipe and one gram of pot and was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, as well as consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, police said.

He is to return to Morristown Town Court on Nov. 5 to face the charges, police said.
