Massena-based United Steelworkers local 450 backs Democrat Owens for Congress

MASSENA – United Steelworkers local 450 has endorsed Bill Owens, the Democratic candidate seeking election to the 23rd Congressional seat.
Jason Chilton, union vice-president also announced the organization is backing Democrat Nicole Duve’ for St. Lawrence County District Attorney.
Owens is facing Republican Dierdre K. Scozzafava, of Gouverneur, currently an Assemblywoman, and Conservative party Doug Hoffman, a Saranac Lake native, to replace John McHugh, who recently resigned to become secretary of the U. S. Army.
Duve is unopposed in her bid for reelection.
