ONNY sets Young Artist Instrumental Competition for Jan. 23 at SUNY Potsdam

POTSDAM -- The Orchestra of Northern New York has set its fourth annual James and Katherine Andrews Young Artist Instrumental Competition for Saturday, Jan. 23 in The Crane School of Music’s Hosmer Concert Hall at SUNY Potsdam.
The competition is open to instrumentalists in grades 9 through 12 who are residents of St. Lawrence, Lewis, Jefferson, Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Warren or Hamilton counties.
Contestants must audition with a piece from a selected list of repertoire. Winners will receive cash prizes. In addition, the first place winner will appear as a soloist with the orchestra’s concerts on March 26 and 27.
