MASSENA—The New York Power Authority (NYPA) will continue its free “Friday Matinees” in November with showings at 1:30 p.m. of contemporary movies at the admission-free Hawkins Point Visitors Center and Boat Launch.

Free popcorn will be available for the movie showings. The movie schedule is as follows:

November 6: “New in Town” (2009). The weather isn't the only drastic change for high-paid consultant Lucy Hill when she's sent from her home base in Florida to a small Minnesota town to improve productivity at a local manufacturing plant. The town's residents also take some getting used to, especially the handsome union boss who's doing his best to make sure Lucy doesn't cut any jobs.

November 13: “Duplicity” (2009). A pair of romantically involved corporate operatives put everything on the line to remain ahead in a high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse between two giant pharmaceutical companies.

November 20: “Confessions of a Shopaholic” (2009). With dreams of writing for a top fashion glossy, shopping addict Rebecca begins working for a financial magazine published by the same publisher. But as her career skyrockets, she struggles to pay off overwhelming bills and manage her love life.
