Yoga Loft moves to new location in Canton

To the Editor:

The North Country Center for Yoga and Health (also known as the Yoga Loft) has moved to 17 Main Street in Canton, above the Celtic Knot. We are so pleased with the beautiful work that building owner Erin Alguire has done in renovating the upstairs to make a beautiful classroom for us.

On moving day, Aug. 8, we had the help of many volunteers. Helen Hutchinson, Carol Budd, Dorothy Limouze, Erica Norton and Sue Northrop warmed up at Community Yoga and then hauled all our supplies to our new home. Joe McDonough joined in with board members Linda Petroccione, Barney Gage, Linda Smith and Valerie Summer, and teachers Sarah Scafidi-McGuire and Ellie Beeler.

We especially appreciate the ongoing help of Paul Petroccione, who made our entryway useful and attractive. Thanks also to Styles Bridges, who generously donated the vintage bracket to hang our sign above the sidewalk. Special thanks to Linda Smith, who worked hard painting, and to all the other board members who creatively put the finishing touches into the room.

The result is an inviting, comfortable space for yoga as well as other fitness/wellness classes and related activities. If you are interested in teaching a class or presenting a workshop at the Yoga Loft, please send an email outlining your ideas to info@yoga-loft.org.

Our classes are in full swing every day of the week. Check out the Yoga Loft schedule at www.yoga-loft.org and see what you might like to try out. We are ready to show you around!
