Writer should apologize to Marie Regan

To the Editor:

You have the right to your opinion even though it is based on misinformation and fantasy. I’m sure most informed readers see your letter (Letter to the Editor, Daily Courier Observer, March 9) as the rant of an angry, bitter man who doesn’t know where to put blame for his troubles and so chooses the nearest handy target.

For your information all of the decisions having to do with the new Town Hall – the purchase and sale – at a tidy profit – of the property on Lawrence Avenue, the purchase of the property on Elm Street, the rehabilitation of 35 Market, the year long rental of the Elm Street property while we wait for the new Town Hall to be built – all of this after years of due diligence – all these decisions were the unanimous decisions of the Board.

If you would like to understand the facts and rationale behind these decisions I am sure I and my fellow board members would be happy to sit down and talk with you any time.

But, Mr. Paige, you are very rude. You have stepped over the line. My Dad would have said, “This is no way to treat a lady.” An apology is due to Mrs. Regan. Think about it.

Judith Rich, Member of the Town Council
