To the Editor:

The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 annual North Country – Wine, Beer and Food Festival was held on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13 at the Lockwood Civic Center in Ogdensburg. We had an awesome crowd both days -- totaling over 900!

The Chamber is proud to sponsor this signature event and thanks our generous sponsors for their continued support: AT & T Premier; Bertrand’s Construction; Fox-Murray Funeral Home; Kimro’s Medicine Place; Latham Auto Sales & Service; Law Office of Marcia LeMay; Miller’s Greenhouse; NNY Newspapers (Journal/Advance News); Ogdensburg Save-A-Lot; Stephens Media Group (PAC 98.7/YES FM/QCountry); Pepsi Cola Ogdensburg Bottlers; Pinto, Mucenski, Hooper and VanHouse CPA; Price Chopper; SeaComm Federal Credit Union; St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union and Community Broadcasters (Wolf).

A special thanks to the City Recreation Department – Matt Curatolo, Executive Director; Tim O’Reilly; Dale Donaldson; Ron Spears; Zack Barr and from DPW – Jonathan Mehaffy who helped get Lockwood ready. Thanks so much to OFA – Jim McCarthy, Building and Grounds – Wayne Bishop, Doug Brayton and Mark House for loaning and loading tables and chairs.

Thank you to the hard-working Chamber board of directors and their family members who helped out: Alex Augsbury, Kathy Bogart, Michele and Vinnie Catlin, Craig Chevalier, Kim Demers, Steve Hawes, Wayne Izzo, Lee Jones, Melissa Lalonde, Marcia LeMay, Kevin McDonough, Sean McNamara, Christopher Pitcher, Betsy Porter (WBFF co-chair), Sarah Purdy, John Rishe, Rhonda Roethel, Judy Ryan, Michael Thayer, Derek and Shannon VanHouse and John Wade (WBFF Chair).

A heart-felt thank you to my admin assistant, Kim Snyder who sold raffle tickets, moved tables and chairs and worked hard on a broken foot all weekend. Thanks to her wonderful husband, George Snyder who worked the raffle table, too.
