To the Editor:
I just returned from a trip though Norwood to Watertown, and I was surprised to see so many flags flying in Norwood and so few elsewhere.
Norwood wins by far, but thanks to Public Offices/Buildings, Elks, American Legions, Kinney Drugs, Price Chopper, Key Bank and McDonald’s for flying the flag.
Our flag is an emblem of freedom, a symbol of unity, and there has been a great price paid for freedom and the honor to fly the flag.
I am sure many people around the globe would love to fly our flag and what it stands for.
Next time count the flags and their condition. After 42 months of hazardous duty, the next time I shop, if possible, if there is no flag I won’t shop there. Proud to be a veteran.
