I would like to just ask, why aren’t there work pools around here?
I understand that there are several workshops to help seek employment, but this is not always the answer for some. I for one would not have a problem standing in a line to work. It would sure beat not having any income coming in or for those needing more income.
They claim that un-employment has dropped, but what they aren’t telling is the simple fact that it is due to peoples un-employment benefits running out.
Now with the government bashing the poor more with the forced “Obamacare” what are the people struggling going to do?
I am a single father with full custody struggling to make ends meet as it is. How hard would it be for St. Lawrence County and other surrounding counties to do a work pool?
I constantly read bashing about how “dead beat,” “lazy” people don’t want to work. Well what about the ones such as I that do work and are a single parent but still can not make ends meet?
Go to D.S.S and be made to feel you are less a human being than they are. No thank you, been there done that already.
I would think something as simple as work pools would be a great benefit to the counties and state.
