According to the logic presented by school board member Ann Carvill (“Use of Zeores Unproductive,” posted to NorthCountryNow.com June 1), my painter should get paid 50 percent for not showing up because it rained that day and the environment wasn’t suitable.

Whatever happened to work ethic?
