To the Editor:
This recent Memorial Day started off just like all the other prior ones, our great and supportive residents coming out and showing their support as we are marching down Cottage Street and onto Market Street.
As we pass Stewarts, we start hearing, “where are all the flags?”
We look up ahead and not a single American flag on display that are usually on the parking meters. Seems like someone had a bad day and forgot to put them out, or someone’s patriotism comes into question on the biggest day to honor those that gave everything so we can live free.
Rest assured, flags or no flags, you have some dedicated veterans that will march rain or shine and the greatest residents coming out to show their support and appreciation!
