To the Editor:
I would like the public to know that I challenged my opponent Sandra Wright to a debate this Saturday Oct. 21 at 6 p.m., which I had made arrangements for in the community room of our public library. Mrs. Wright said, through a third party, that she was “not interested” in having a debate. I believe that people’s concerns ought to be heard, and that issues need to be discussed and debated in order for elected officials to properly represent constituents. I am running for the position of town supervisor to do exactly that.
In response to Mrs. Wright, I again invite her to discuss the issues in a town hall setting this Saturday the 21st of October at 6 p.m. in the community room of the public library.
I urge you, the Waddington Community, to attend this community session and to ask questions, and bring up issues and concerns that you have that are pertinent in this election. I want the voters to understand where each candidate stands on these issues so that each resident can make an informed decision on who is best fit for the office of Waddington Town Supervisor.
Once again the community session will be this Saturday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. in the community room of the Waddington Hepburn Library. Light refreshments will be served and I will gladly answer any and all questions you have so you know where I stand.
Thank you and I hope to see you Saturday.
Everyone in this community has a voice and every single one matters to me. That is why for the next few weekends I will hold Community Coffee Chats in the community room of our public library. These chats will allow me to fully connect and talk with concerned citizens over issues that affect them and all the residents of Waddington.
There will be two Community Coffee Chats, on Sunday, Oct. 29 and Sunday, Nov. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. each day. They will be located in the community room of the Waddington Hepburn Library. Please come out and make your voice heard!
Coffee and light snacks will be provided, along with good quality conversation.
If you have any questions please contact AlexForWaddington@gmail.com or message the campaign on Facebook. These chats will be recorded via Facebook Live and available to the public.
