Votra has done good job, works hard for Parishville

To the Editor:

I have never written a political letter, or asked someone to vote for a particular person, and I’m not about to start now.

However, as an employee of the Town of Parishville for the past 10 years and having worked under three different supervisors I found the letter to the editor “Cassie Hayes slams opponent, calls for support” to be quite interesting.

Most of what she said was either wrong, misleading or a twisting of the facts.

When the town board appointed Rod Votra to the position of supervisor I must say I was not sure they had made the right decision. But I can tell you Rod has done a good job and has worked very hard for the town and I am sure he will continue to do so.

Most weeks he has been in the office 25 to 30 hours a week depending on his full-time job.

This is a far cry from what Mr. Moore used to do. We were lucky to see Jerry for four hours on Tuesdays and his biggest accomplishment then was to read the Adirondack newspaper.

Mr. Moore did nothing for the Town of Parishville and he will do nothing as county legislator. He just wants the title, as he said in a recent article, he is a good politician and yes he is, he has taken all kinds of credit for work other people have done and he will say anything to get your vote.

Scott Sutherland is only supporting Jerry Moore to keep a Republican in that seat, I would rather see someone who will help the county regardless of their political affiliation. These are just facts that I hope you will think about when you vote.
