To the Editor:

I read the Letter to the Editor “Elect Langtry” and I remembered my assessor days when Jim called me a liar. I proved him wrong, but he never did apologize. I understand that he calls a lot of people liars and has even told a constituent at a Town Board meeting to “go back to where you came from.” I think his ethics and integrity must have died with his good mother.

And how about Michele McQueer? I will never forget the article in the paper where she said she thought all of us “old people” should essentially get out of the way so that the young people could live their lives. I was wondering what would happen to poor old Crayton Buck, her sidekick? If I remember right, he is near my age and I am 78. Bye, bye Crayton.

I believe the people of Hammond should think twice about these candidates who have this type of perspective and attitude. Is that who you want running the government of Hammond and serving ALL of the people? Please vote on November 8th for Ron Bertram, Howard Demick and Merritt Young. They offer the only clear choice for a positive attitude, approachability and prosperous direction for governing our community.
