Volunteers help Yoga Loft move to new location

To the Editor:

On behalf of the North Country Center for Yoga and Health (aka “The Yoga Loft”) board of directors, I would like to thank all the volunteers who helped make our move from downtown Canton to our new location at 205 State St. at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus a smooth and fun process. The Yoga Loft has offered yoga, pilates, tai chi and many more classes and workshops to Canton and the surrounding communities since 1999. Along with great classes, the Yoga Loft has provided income opportunities for individuals trained at a professional level in their area of expertise. Their skills are an asset and resource to this community.

Many thanks must also go to everyone who donated items to the Yoga Loft Annual Fundraising Yard Sale. Over $1200 was raised! This is an enormous gift that will support the move. The Yoga Loft will re-open at the new location on July 14 with a brief opening ceremony at 8:30 am, followed by our regular Saturday morning community yoga class. Everyone is welcome to participate. Visit the website at yoga-loft.org for directions and summer class schedule.

Special thanks to Kathy Montan for her thoughtful facilitation of ceremonies at the old and new spaces.
