Vietnam vets plan motorcycle ‘toy run’
Friday, July 9, 2010 - 2:35 pm

To the Editor:

On Sept. 11, 2010 at 9 a.m. at the American Legion Post 68 in Norwood, we are holding our annual motorcycle “toy run” in support of the less fortunate children of Franklin, Jefferson and St. Lawrence counties.

Past efforts have met with great success and have brought happiness to many children of these areas.

Our goal this year is to continue this tradition and to exceed the monetary donations of last year’s collection.

These monies raised were sent to the local units to provide toys and clothing to needy children. This community supported activity brought many smiles to the faces of all the children who received our gifts.

This annual event relies on organizations to help support this effort. If you would like to contribute with a donation or an item we can use for a door prize or raffle, it would be greatly welcome.
