Victim of theft thanks Canton business

I would like to bring to your attention the service that I received from a local business recently.

I had my snow blower at the Wood Chop Shop located in Canton for repairs. Before the repairs could be completed an individual or individuals stole the snow blower from the business. The incident is currently being investigated by members of the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department.

John promptly stated that he would make good on the snow blower. With the forecast as it was, John assured me that I would have a replacement snow blower by the end of this week.

Much to my surprise I looked out my window this afternoon to find Steve backing into my driveway to deliver the replacement snow blower.

Thank you for your service to your customers. I can assure you, had I been living in a city, I would not have received the attention and response that I received from you and your business. I encourage everyone to support local businesses and buy local.

Anyone having information as to the individual or individuals involved in the theft of a Simplicity snow blower, orange in color with a Briggs and Stratton engine, from the Wood Chop Shop in Canton are asked to contact the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department at 379-2222.
