UnitedHealth Group employee giving program raises money for St. Lawrence County residents

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Health Initiative, I would like to thank the UnitedHealth Group employee giving program for their commitment to helping improve the health of St. Lawrence County residents.

Donor, Heidi Snell, generously donated $482.80 to the Health Initiative this year. In addition, United Health Foundation matches their employee contributions, doubling the donations impact!

Each year the Health Initiative continues to advance its mission of measurably improving the health of St. Lawrence County residents, and the residents of the North Country Region, through collaborative community efforts.

Through the Cancer Services Program, Health Insurance Navigation, Diabetes Prevention and Diabetes Self-Management, Teens Help, WorkWell Investments and Creating Healthy Schools and Communities, we have seen many lives change for the better.

This generous contribution will be used to directly impact the lives of those we serve. Previous similar donations have been used to pay for preventative cancer screening and to cover medical bills related to chronic disease diagnosis or prevention.

With the help of donations from supporters such as UnitedHealth Group and its employees, we will continue to see improvements in the health of the community.

Thank you again for your generous support of our efforts.
