To the Editor:
As race director for the first annual Zombie 5k Run to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Massena, I want to extend a big “thank you” to all who helped make this event a success.
I would like to expressly thank the planning committee, the faculty and staff at Massena Central School, the student volunteers from Massena Central School, Price Chopper, Hannaford, The Bagelry, and all who participated in this event.
The weather was tough, but the runners, walkers, and zombies were tougher! The money raised from this event will benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Massena, which is planning to open its doors in the summer of 2014.
If you have not had a chance to lend your support to this effort, I urge you to visit www.BGCMassena.org and make a pledge of financial support.
The Boys & Girls Club of Massena is dedicated to ensuring that the community’s young people, who are most in need of help, have greater access to quality programs and services that help them succeed academically, live healthy lifestyles, and become leaders.
Please make an investment in the future of Massena, support the Boys & Girls Club.
