To the Editor:
As the Young Adult Services Specialist at Canton Free Library, I would like to thank Stewart’s Shops for their welcome grant of $250 given to CFL’s Teen Services as part of their Holiday Match event.
These funds will assist us in maintaining our current programming and enable us to create new services for Canton area teens. For example, during Teen Read Week in October, our teens will have the opportunity to get involved in the library’s collection development process by selecting new materials for the YA Zone.
Teens who participate actively in CFL’s Teen Summer Program will shop at the Brewer Book Store this fall for items they want to see added to the library’s Young Adult collection.
This new program would not be possible without the generous gifts of local businesses and organizations like Stewart’s Shops, nor without the kind support and donations of members of the community who contributed to the Stewart’s Holiday Match collection program. We extend our most sincere thanks.
Krista Briggs, Young Adult Specialist, Canton Free Library
