To the Editor:
St. Lawrence Chocolates would like to thank all the sponsors, volunteers and participants in the first Fright Night Costume Contest on Oct. 28.
We had overwhelming response, and appreciate everyone’s patience, as we worked through our first-year kinks. Thanks to Rose & Kiernan Insurance Agency for being a co-sponsor; the Potsdam Chamber for allowing us to use their address for the event; to the Village of Potsdam for allowing the street to be blocked off this year; and the highway crews for the extra work.
Thanks to the SUNY Potsdam Softball team volunteers who helped staff our registration table, and guide our participants to the runway for our judges to get a good look at the wonderful and creative costumes.
We appreciate the suggestions we received on how to improve the event for next year, and hope to have a bigger and better one in year two.
