To the Editor:
I would like to thank all the ladies who came to the E.J. Noble Guild's Tea and Fashion Show on Sunday, November 20 at SUNY Canton. The weather was not good but these ladies braved the elements to join us and take part in our last official fundraiser before we merge with the Potsdam Hospital Guild.
I would also like to than Sean Conklin, Diane Marie Collins and Sue Law from SUNY Canton who were wonderful to work with and helped us immensely.
There were some logistic issues because of the weather and the elevator was not working at the Miller Campus Center. Diane Collins and Julie Parkman went out of their way to shuttle our guests from the Campus Center parking lot to an entrance close to our event.
Thanks to Brenda Snow from White's Flowers and Valerie Visser from Boudoir Photography who donated door prizes.
A special thanks to the stores and models who showed clothing in the Fashion Show: Hailey Hodge from Luna, Jackie Green from Eternity Bridal Boutique and Porshea and Michelle, mangers from the Ogdensburg and Massena Maurice stores.
The Tea also celebrated some of the history and chronicled many of the Guild's past events such as the Holly Berry Bazaar, the Night on the Town Dances, the soup luncheons and the house tours to name a few.
For 65 years the Guild has been a part of the Canton Community and many wonderful Canton women have given their energy, time, creativity and resources to benefit Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Since 1989 the Guild has raised over $830,000. Thank you for your generosity and support through the years.
Judith A. Chase
President of the E.J. Noble Guild of Canton-Potsdam Hospital
