To the Editor:
The taxpayers of St. Lawrence County deserve a County Clerk who has the experience and the dedication to do the job. Mary Lou worked at the DMV for 5 ½ years until she became Patty Richard’s first deputy. When Patty looked to fill the position of First Deputy in 2008, it was important that the position be filled with someone who had DMV knowledge and experience because the four DMV offices account for the majority of the County Clerk’s revenue and staff. Mary Lou not only had the DMV knowledge and experience, but she had 23 years of experience as a business owner/operator as well. Mary Lou worked as Patty Ritchie’s First Deputy for 2 ½ years and served at Acting County Clerk when Patty became our NYS Senator.
Mary Lou needs our help to get back into the position where she served us so well. Please vote for Mary Lou on November 8.
