To the Editor:

I am writing this letter in support of Travis Dann who is running to replace Don Peck on the St. Lawrence County Legislature in District 5 which encompasses the Towns of Gouverneur and DePeyster.

I had the privilege of attending the debate on October 12 between the incumbent, Don Peck and the challenger Travis Dann.

The county is facing many challenges. The most important is the management of the St. Lawrence Counties finances. That evening I heard over and over again by Mr. Peck that the Democratic controlled legislature had a plan.

Well all I have seen of the plan is a diminishing fund balance and a raise in taxes. I have personally seen the legislature at work with block voting by the Democratic majority this included their strong support for the SAFE act. Everything is decided before the meetings.

I have personally known and worked with Travis for many years. He is a man with impeccable integrity and honesty with an ethic of being a hard and productive worker.

We need someone who has demonstrated in his personal life he can be successful and responsible. I am asking you to please vote for Travis Dann on November 4.
