To the Editor:
In response to “Disappointed Hopke Was Not Chosen For Reelection” which ran in the Sept. 9 issue of North Country This Week: I was also disappointed to learn that Eleanor Hopke would not be a Democratic candidate for Village Board. I will certainly support her on an independent line in the election and urge others to do the same.
Eleanor is an experienced, thoughtful, and committed representative who is concerned about fiscal responsibility in Village government as well as the quality of life in our neighborhoods and the vitality of the downtown area.
I appreciate her willingness to devote her time to the task of representing us and I hope she will be able to continue to do so.
