To the Editor:
The St. Lawrence Branch of the American Association of University Women Branch (AAUW) sponsored Madison Campbell, a student at Madrid-Waddington Central School to attend 4-H Camp Overlook.
She was one of 13 St. Lawrence County girls who attended summer camps or national competitions thanks to AAUW's Open Windows for Girls (OWFG).
OWFG funds individuals and groups of SLC girls to attend summer enrichment programs to broaden their horizons and provide an open window to the future.
Since 2008, Stewart's Shops has made generous contributions to the Open Windows for Girls program. SLC AAUW would like to thank Stewart's Shop for their continued support. Their financial help makes it possible for more SLC girls to attend summer enrichment programs.
Membership in the St. Lawrence County Branch of AAUW is open to anyone who supports the mission of AAUW: Advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research.
