To the Editor:
It is my pleasure to be the newest steering committee member in the St. Lawrence Leadership Institute. Future county leaders need to know of the Institute’s existence. The Institute has been around since 1993 and is slated to become a SUNY Potsdam program.
In partnership with the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce along with the assistance of various current county leaders, the Institute provides for either a certificate or for credit program providing Leadership Skills and Development, Civic Awareness and Engagement as well as the opportunity to build your professional network within the County.
For a nominal fee the program runs for ten sessions and is ideal for anyone interested in learning about leadership and its role in their professional growth as well as those interested in learning more about how to be involved in shaping the future of St. Lawrence County.
The Institute is announcing the new chapter for the 2017-2018 year and will be holding a networking reception on March 28th from 5-7 pm at Sergi’s in Potsdam.
Anyone interested in learning more can come to this meeting by entering an RSVP at http://slli.eventbrite .com. There is also a website that you can visit at www.potsdam.edu/slli.
