To the Editor:
I rarely get involved in politics or any political endorsements, but every now and then a choice presents itself that is so compelling that I feel the need to speak up. I am retired from the state police following a 30 year career and had the pleasure of working with Mary Rain when she served as a police officer and an assistant district attorney.
Mary has an incredible work ethic and has shown that she will work tirelessly for the people of St. Lawrence County.
While working within the Drug Task Force, we often sought Mary’s advice and opinion on complex legal issues, and if she didn’t know the answer right off she researched it completely to guide our decision making.
To Mary, public service is not just a job but a sincere commitment to “do the right thing” and treat every case as if it were her family that was the victims seeking justice.
Mary has the ability and leadership skills to make the St. Lawrence County District Attorneys office a well-oiled machine that places justice over numbers. Please exercise your right to vote on Election Day, and vote Mary Rain for DA.
