To the Editor:
On Nov. 3, voters from across the state will head to the polls. St. Lawrence County sits as one of eleven counties of the 4th Judicial District.
Here in the 4th Judicial District, voters will be asked to choose a candidate to replace retired Supreme Court Judge David Demarest.
While not on the ballot as a formal candidate of the Conservative Party, to say that the Conservative Party as a whole does not endorse Mary Farley as a candidate would be an incorrect statement.
The Conservative party is not necessarily a whole entity of itself, but is made up of different sections within the state of New York. In St. Lawrence County, our Conservative Committee has endorsed Mary Farley as one of the true conservative candidates.
This holds true in five of the six committees that comprise the 4th Judicial District. We wholeheartedly stand behind Mary Farley and in what she wants to do for our district.
Unfortunately, others within our party, particularly in Schenectady County, have their own agenda, and have tried to undermine our County and place people in power who do not necessarily represent the people of our district, but to represent the agenda of politicians who do not look out for the interests of the general Public. We in St. Lawrence County and those in the surrounding counties still do and will continue to fight for Mary Farley.
What's at stake in this election? Quite possibly the placement of a Supreme Court chambers in St. Lawrence County.
Folks, we cannot afford to lose the Supreme Court Chambers here in St. Lawrence County and if Mary Farley doesn’t win this election, we will likely lose all the way around.
So please join the St. Lawrence Conservative Party and vote for Mary Farley on Election Day, whether through the Reform Party Line or the Republican Party line.
This is the proper time for people to cross party lines BUT this is the only way we will keep the court in St. Lawrence County.
