To the Editor:
For every human baby born, 15 puppies and 45 kittens are born. Simple math tells you that there never will be enough homes for all of them. The solution is to stop the births by spaying and neutering. It is that simple, it is humane, and it is the mission of Spay/Neuter/Now (SNN). SNN is a North Country non-profit organization helping animals, people and communities.
On Jan. 28, the Canton Animal Clinic networked with SNN and hosted a low cost feline clinic at their facility on St. Hwy 68 in Canton. Twenty-nine cats will no longer be adding to the North Country’s overpopulation crisis. SNN thanks the clinic’s veterinarians, staff and volunteers for this worthwhile community project.
Canton Animal Clinic will host another Spay/Neuter/Now low cost clinic on Feb. 25. Please call SNN at 324-5969 for further information. Income guidelines for eligibility apply.
